The Ascension Series Starts Now
"The Fight Starts Here. The Summit Awaits."
The Ascension Series is the Black Harriers' second competitive play circuit, and the premier organized play experience for Halo: Flashpoint in Albuquerque. After a long awaited return, Spartans and Banished alike are stepping back onto the battlefield with real stakes attached. First place prize support, global Season leaderboard points, and the kind of edge on your seat gameplay that only comes when something is actually on the line. The Ascension Series runs across two weeks in July, one session each week, with a different official scenario each night. Build your list, sharpen your strategy, and show up ready.
The Ascension Series - July Dates
JULY 13TH — HUSKY SIEGE
One artifact. Two teams. One chance to claim it. Retrieve the artifact from the neutral spawn zone and fight to deposit it in your scoring area while the enemy tries to take it for themselves. Carriers can move freely but cannot fire, so your teammates better have your back. The artifact resets after every score and can be stolen mid-carry, so nothing is safe until the final whistle.
First to 20 Victory Points or 8 rounds wins. | See the Event Page
JULY 27TH — HUSKY ODDBALL
Whoever holds the ball scores the points but holding it makes you a target. The Oddball respawns every round and only Rapid Fire or Suppression can shake it loose from a carrier's grip. Every activation the opposing team spends the ball in hand chips away at your lead one point at a time and a kill with the ball is worth four points all at once.
First to 20 Victory Points or 6 rounds wins. | See the Event Page
What to Bring
Organized Play days are self-sufficient events. Every player is responsible for bringing everything they need to play.
Required items:
• Dice, unit cards, and all tokens required by the game rules
• Your team made using official Mantic Games models
• Terrain and buildings from the Halo Flashpoint base game
• A submitted army list via the Halo Flashpoint App (required before the event)
Matched pairs of players will combine their terrain to build the game board together. Come prepared.
Official Models Required
All competitive play events require the use of official Halo Flashpoint models produced by Mantic Games. Proxies and unofficial models are not permitted at competitive events.
It is highly recommended that your team is fully built and ready before arriving on the day. Arriving with a complete, legal roster ensures you can be paired into matches without delay. Team lists can be submitted on the Official play page
Sportsmanship and Fair Play
The Black Harriers run competitive events built on mutual respect and fair play. We expect every player to know their own rules, play honestly, and treat their opponent with the same respect they want to receive. If a rules dispute arises during a game call it calmly and if needed we will resolve it together.
Good games start with good players.
The Halo Flashpoint App — What You Need to Know
What is Organized Play?
1
Organized Play is Mantic's official competitive format for Halo: Flashpoint. Events are sanctioned, results are tracked globally, and participants earn leaderboard points each Season. All Black Harriers competitive events are officially registered and count toward Season standings.
What points format do we use?
2
All Black Harriers competitive events are played at 200 points unless otherwise stated. Lists must be built using the current legal rules and the Wargames Expansion.
What if I have never played in Organized Play before?
3
Don’t worry! Show up, bring your list, and we will walk you through the process. Everyone starts somewhere.
What is the Halo Flashpoint App, and why do I need it?
4
The Halo Flashpoint App is Mantic’s official companion webpage (not a mobile app) for team building and mandatory Organized Play registration. Submitting your list ensures your team is legal and pairs you against opponents. Every match played in these registered events logs your results to calculate your global ranking. You can check it out here.
